Alexandria Police Investigate Robbery at TD Bank on South Van Dorn Street

Alexandria Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred earlier today at the TD Bank, located at 557 S. Van Dorn Street. 

At approximately 2:10 p.m., a man entered the bank, implied a weapon and demanded money. The teller relinquished an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled the bank. There were no injuries. The suspect was last seen entering a white sedan on South Pickett Street.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 40s, 6’0” with short hair. The suspect was wearing a white tee shirt, jeans, a black fleece jacket and dark-colored shoes.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Section of the Alexandria Police Department at 703.746.6711

Detectives would like to remind witnesses that they can remain anonymous.
