Del Ray Music Festival Needs Volunteers

Dear Friends and Neighbors

As we prepare for one of Del Ray's favorite events, the annual Del Ray Music Festival, we would like to reach out for your help in making this happen. 

Celebrating the rich diversity and talent of the Del Ray community the Sixth Annual Del Ray Music Festival will take place on Saturday, June 23, 2012. Scheduled from 10am to 10pm on the Mt. Vernon Recreation Center Fields at 2701 Commonwealth Avenue, the Del Ray Music Festival includes music, food, games, and a chance to ring in the summer with your friends and neighbors. To kick off the Music Festival, from Monday, June 18th through June 22nd will be Music Week where more then 30 musicians will be playing up and down Mt. Vernon Avenue, inside and out of some of Del Ray's finest establishments. 

Volunteers are needed this week to distribute fliers.  As part of our City permit, we must notify and distribute fliers to those homes that are closest to the location of the Music Festival and to the performances during Music Week.  If you have an hour to volunteer and help distribute fliers, it would be greatly appreciated.  Fliers are grouped in packets with a map showing which blocks need to receive a flier and can be picked up on my porch at 110 E. Del Ray Avenue, the house directly next to St. Elmo's parking lot.

We also would welcome volunteers during Music Week and with the Music Festival itself on June 23rd.  If you would like to help to make this wonderful annual Del Ray tradition a success and volunteer during the week before or day of, please e-mail info@delraymusicfestival.com.
