Online Survey and Interactive Mapping tool available for the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan Update
We want to hear from you!
As part of the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan Update, the City is seeking community input on existing walking and bicycle issues and needs, and ideas for improving the environment for walking and biking. An online survey and interactive map can be accessed from the project webpage. The survey and map are available in English and Spanish and will be available for input through early October 2014. This is the first of many opportunities, including a public meeting on September 30 and events throughout the year, to help shape your City. Stay tuned for more information!

The update of the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan will include an evaluation of existing conditions, constraints and needs, as well as a review of existing policies, goals and objectives. The plan will identify short and long-term projects to make it safer and easier for people to walk and bike in Alexandria. As part of this project, Complete Street Design Guidelines are being developed to ensure that Alexandria’s streets are serving the needs of all users.
