The award-winning Energy Masters program, which trains corps of volunteers in energy efficiency and water conservation techniques and in community education and outreach, is accepting applications for training this fall.
The six-session program will be held on Wednesdays, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. between September 30th and November 4th at Fairlington Community Center and on Saturday, October 24th, 9:00 am. to 1:00 p.m., location TBD.

Once trained, community volunteers will contribute 40 hours of community service (20 for students) in Arlington and Alexandria over the course of a year, at which point they become certified.
