Bullying Prevention Basics, October 23



October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month and the Alexandria Mentoring Partnership is hosting a training event at The Lyceum (201 S. Washington Street) from 6-8 p.m. This event if for mentors, tutors, helpers, staff members and others. Refreshments will be provided

ACPS Cyber Bullying Information Session

CYBER BULLYING INFORMATION
George Washington Middle School Campus is hosting a Parent Information Session on Cyber Bullying from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, in the George Washington library, 1005 Mount Vernon Ave., Alexandria. The session is open to parents and their students. The National Junior Honor Society will sponsor babysitting for young children. ACPS Bullying Intervention Workshop 12/8

BULLYING INTERVENTION STRATEGIES WORKSHOP
A workshop on “Bullying Intervention Strategies for Parents of Children with Disabilities” will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, at the T.C. Williams High School Minnie Howard Campus Media Center, 3801 W. Braddock Road. Although designed specifically for parents of children with disabilities, the event is open to all who want to learn how to deal with bullying, how to speak to their children who are bullied, how bullying disrupts children's day-to-day life and how to collaborate with teachers and administration to solve the issues. This workshop is presented by Dannel Wilson, social services and prevention coordinator for Alexandria City Public Schools, and sponsored by the Anne R. Lipnick Special Education Family Resource Center. Light snacks will be available.
