Del Ray Halloween Parade

15th Annual Del Ray Halloween Parade scheduled for Sunday, October 30 The 15th Annual Del Ray Halloween Parade, scheduled for Sunday, October 30, begins at 2 p.m. on Mt. Vernon Ave. near Bellefonte Ave. and continues to the Mount Vernon Recreation Center ballfields at Commonwealth Ave.  This year's parade features awards for the Best Pet Costume, Best Decorated Business, Best Decorated Home, and Best Decorated Stroller. Children, pets, and strollers in costumes are invited to march and show off their finest and scariest Halloween garb. No registration required for children and families marching in the parade.  Registration opens at 1:30 p.m. for pets and strollers entering the Best Pet Costume and Decorated Strollers competition. Deadline to nominate homes for Best Decorated Home is October 18 and the deadline to nominate Best Decorated Business is October 21. Nominations may be sent todelrayhalloweenparade@yahoo.com. Please indicate if homes or businesses should be judged during the day or night.
