Alexandria Park and Recreation Commission Schedules Public Hearing to Receive Public Comment on the Beauregard Small Area Plan
The Alexandria Park and Recreation Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 16, 7 p.m. at the Charles Houston Recreation Center located at 901 Wythe St.
The purpose of the public hearing is to obtain public comment on the Beauregard Small Area Plan. After discussion on the proposed Beauregard Small Area Plan, the Commission will hear comments from City residents on any other park and recreation related issue not previously discussed in a public hearing by the Commission. The regular meeting of the Commission will follow.
The Beauregard Small Area Plan is being undertaken by the City to identify options for the future Beauregard planning area located in the City's West End, including the proposed Transitway Corridor C from Landmark Mall to the northern City limits along Van Dorn St., Sanger Ave. and Beauregard St. Staff from the Department of Planning and Zoning will present the draft master plan, with additional staff from the Departments of Transportation & Environmental Services and Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities available to answer questions.
