Public Invited to Attend 2012 Miracle Baseball League of Alexandria Opening Day on Saturday, April 21
The public is invited to attend the Opening Day Ceremony for the 2012 Miracle Baseball League of Alexandria on Saturday, April 21, 1 p.m. at the Lee Center, 1108 Jefferson St. The ceremony honors Miracle Baseball League players and volunteers. The rain site for the program will be at the George Washington Middle School, 1005 Mt. Vernon Ave.
The Miracle Baseball League of Alexandria is open to any person with mental and/or physical challenges who reside in the City of Alexandria or outside the City. The Miracle League team members are assigned “Angels in the Outfield Buddies” who assist them in hitting the ball and "running" the bases. Buddies can be fellow family members, schoolmates, parents, college students, business leaders or anyone who wishes to volunteer their time to give a child the gift of baseball.
