PLANETARIUM SHOW SALUTES MANNED SPACE EXPLORATION
Sept. 22 marks the end of
Astronomical Summer, one of the driest in years, which featured the hottest
July on record. Join Planetarium Director Bob Nicholson at 7 p.m. on Tuesday,
Sept. 25, for the first show of the season. The program will feature a salute
to manned space exploration, a highly interactive and kid-friendly activity
called "The Reason for the Seasons," an explanation of why fall
begins on Sept 22 no matter what the weather is like and a concluding
"Walk across the September Sky."
As Monday is Labor Day, registration
will open at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 4. Enrollment is limited to the first 35
people who register online or by calling the planetarium at
703-824-6805, extension 6300. To allow more people access to the planetarium
shows, please note that we cannot honor bulk requests for tickets. Please order
only the number of tickets you need for your family. For additional
information, please email planetarium@acps.k12.va.us or call Bob
Nicholson at 703-824-6805, extension 6300.
