Patrick Henry Information and Update
ACPS updated its website with cost estimates for the project- http://www.acps.k12.va.us/
Important upcoming dates:
May 7: The City Council will vote on the CIP Budget. The proposed budget includes almost $6 million for the Patrick Henry Rec Center, and $38.1 million for the new school.
May 14, 7 pm: The School Board will hear a presentation on the Patrick Henry feasibility study, including costs for each plan. These meetings are open to the public and it would be great to have many people from the neighborhood attend.
May 28, 7 pm: The School Board will vote on addition/renovation vs. new building at Patrick Henry.
If you are interested in contacting any School Board members or Council members directly, you can find their email addresses below. You can also e-mail all of the Council members and all of the School Board members at once using these online forms:

The Alexandria Aces Are Seeking Host Families
The Alexandria Aces are a member of the Cal Ripken
Collegiate Baseball League. The team is
comprised of players from universities and colleges across the country and
plays at Frank Mann Field at Four Mile Run Park in Del Ray.
2015 marks the 8th season for the
team and we are committed to enhancing the players’ experience.
The Aces are grateful to our wonderful host families who
provide players with “homes away from home” during the summer season (June
through July or early August). There are
many rewards to hosting our players including great family memories and
lifetime bonds.
Like every other team in the CRCBL, the Aces are always in
need of new host families. Without the
generous support of all of our host families, where is no team in our
community.
If you are interested in becoming a host family or would
like more information, please contact:
John Kelly johnfkellyjr@comcast.net
or
