Dear Neighbors and Friends,
Monday was a day that marked tragedy, shock, and grief for our wonderful
community. What happened at the “Pit” was like nothing we have ever
experienced before, and many of us feel that now more than ever, we need to
come together to show that we are strong and we will not live in fear of
The Pit is far more than just a park. For generations, it has been a place
of happiness and laughter for children, a gathering place of friendship
amongst neighbors, and a symbol of our close-knit community.
Many of us have strolled through the park ... sledded on its hills ...
planted and watered its beautiful flowers and trees ... watched children
enjoy the playground ... participated in the annual Christmas tree lighting
... and much, much more.
We *do not* want this week's events to redefine one of the most beloved
core areas of our neighborhood.
*We would like to invite everyone to join us on Sunday, November 15th for a
Community Coffee, Cider and Snack Break. Let’s take the time to heal
*When: Sunday, November 15, 2015 Time: 3:00pm – 5:00pm*
*What: Coffee, Cider, Donuts and More (Please feel free to bring a
beverage and snack to share.)*
Let's show our children, families and friends what a strong and resilient
culture we have in Beverley Hills and in our surrounding neighborhoods.
