Thefts from Cars on the rise

I've been seeing a lot on the neighborhood list serves about car break-ins and thefts from cars.

Here are a few tips (reminders) to help reduce your risk:

• LOCK your car doors
• keep outside lights on
• Don't leave anything of value in your car
• keep your glove compartment locked
• don't leave valuables in your trunk - once someone is in your car they can easily pop the trunk open
