Flash Flood Warning
September 7, 2011
The City of Alexandria is under a Flash Flood Warning until 1:45 pm today. Heavy rain continues to fall, with two additional inches expected. Excessive runoff from the heavy rainfall may cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, streets and underpasses as well as drainage and low lying spots.
High waters may be on the roadways and in low-lying areas. Residents are urged to use caution when driving and do not drive through high waters.
