poetryNOW "Here's Your Voice" (Grades 7-12)
"Here's Your Voice" will give students a supportive environment to creatively express themselves, nourish artistic growth and develop the literary and performance tools needed to fine tune their individual voices. The structure and form of the program will differ from normal classroom instruction incorporating multimedia elements, theatre games, live performances from local spoken word artist while reinforcing terms, concepts and critical thinking components found in a classroom.
This five-day program will be held the week of July 9-13, 2012. Each session will last four hours from 1 to 5 p.m. at T.C. Williams High School Minnie Howard Campus (3801 W. Braddock Road).
All students currently enrolled in an ACPS middle school or high school are eligible to register and participate. Space is limited and registration is considered on a first come, first served basis.
