Public meeting on the Union Street Corridor Study

FROM THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA:

The Department of Transportation and Environmental Services will hold a public meeting on the Union Street Corridor Study on September 19 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm in City Hall on the 1st floor in the SisterCities Conference Room 1101.
The public is invited to learn about the Union Street Corridor Study being conducted and provide input on recommendations being proposed.  The goal of the study is to assess conditions within the area and make recommendations which will support and promote a safe, lively and compelling waterfront where pedestrians, bicyclists and all users can feel safe and comfortable, minimizing intermodal conflicts.
The study is being conducted in coordination with a number of previous studies, initiatives and plans produced by the Departments of Transportation & Environmental Services and Planning & Zoning.
Meeting materials will be made available at http://alexandriava.gov/tes/info/default.aspx?id=62680.
