"We Will Never Forget"

“We Will Never Forget” Candlelight Vigil for Gun Violence Victims and to Demand Action from Congress in Old Town, Alexandria, Saturday Night

A candlelight vigil for the victims of gun violence and to demand action from Congress on gun violence prevention legislation will be held Saturday, April 13, from 5:30 to 8 pm in Market Square in Old Town, Alexandria.  The candlelight vigil is sponsored by Organizing for Action (OFA) and Alexandria’s Concerned Citizens Against Gun Violence.

Join friends, neighbors and community members as hundreds of candlelight vigils are being held across the nation at the same time Saturday night.  Our legislators need to understand that we demand action from Congress on gun violence prevention legislation.

Alexandria Mayor William Euille will speak at 6 pm followed by other concerned members of the Alexandria community.

Other local organizations supporting the event include the Million Mom March of Northern Virginia, and two other Alexandria groups–Moms Demand Action and MOURN--Mothers United for Reform Now.
