Police Investigate Robbery at U.S. Post Office
Alexandria Police and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service are conducting a joint investigation into a robbery that occurred at a U.S. Post Office in the 1900 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.
Around 4:15 P.M. on Friday, January 10, a man entered the post office and implied that he had a weapon. He demanded money and fled after receiving currency. No one was injured.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’8” to 5’10” with a thin build. The suspect was wearing a black mask, green military style jacket, and red or brown utility pants.
