Alexandria Library’s All Alexandria Reads program

All Alexandria Reads, Alexandria Library’s signature community program is designed to create shared experiences through reading.  Everyone is invited to read the featured title, The Astronaut Wives Club by Lily Koppel.  Beginning April 11 and throughout the month of May, events and discussions related to the themes of The Astronaut Wives Club will be happening at various branches.

The Alexandria Library will be hosting dozens of events to celebrate All Alexandria Reads. They include children’s storytimes and science programs, film screenings, live music, space exploration expert presentations and book discussions. On May 3 at 11am and 1pm, Charles E. Beatley, Jr. Central Library – located at 5005 Duke Street – will be holding an all-ages planetarium show in a portable planetarium dome.

All Alexandria Reads is made possible through a generous grant from the James M. Duncan, Jr. Library Foundation, Inc.  We strongly encourage everyone to participate and join in on the experience.  Visit www.alexandria.lib.va.us to read more about All Alexandria Reads.
