Petition to Rename Monroe Avenue Bridge the Judy Utterback Lowe Memorial Bridge
Although well-known as a tireless advocate for the Del Ray Citizens Association, Judy Lowe was an equally tireless defender of the City of Alexandria and vocal advocate of civic engagement citywide.
Much as the Monroe Avenue Bridge carries a major thoroughfare, connecting Alexandria to itself and surrounding jurisdictions, Judy connected people with people, ideas with action, and causes with advocates.
